The noise of aircraft includes internal noise and external noise. External noise will cause noise pollution to the environment. It mainly includes the noise during takeoff and landing of aircraft. For civil aircraft, this part is also subject to the requirements of airworthiness standards. The noise felt by the crew inside the aircraft is called internal noise. The sound sources of internal noise include noise from engines, landing gears, wings, boundary layers, etc. outside the cabin, as well as noise sources within the cabin, such as environmental control systems, avionics systems, hydraulic systems, and aviation electrical systems.

As the requirements of airworthiness standards for external noise are becoming more stringent, the occupant's demand for internal noise implementation is increasing. The demand for noise simulation and design of aircraft is increasing.

Solution

The external noise of the aircraft is mainly produced by the engine during flight, and also includes APU noise and landing gear noise during takeoff and landing. Actran is the industry standard for aero engine noise analysis and is used by all major engine manufacturers worldwide for engine noise analysis and optimization. For landing gear noise, Actran can be combined with fluid analysis software (Cradle or others) for aerodynamic noise analysis.

For internal cabin noise, Actran can form a simulation tool level with Apex,Nastran, covering the analysis chain from the digital analog to the structural finite element model to the vibration and noise coupling model. Actran can accurately simulate the contribution of vibration and noise reduction measures such as thermal insulation and sound absorption layer, damping material and dynamic vibration absorber in aircraft, and provide guidance for noise optimization.
